Overview

6-month project in Carson City, Nevada for an Oracle Weblogic Administrator at the State of Nevada.

Responsibilities

The Oracle IAS 10g (Forms/Reports/Discoverer) installation is being upgraded to WebLogic/Forms/Reports 11g managed server and subsequently to 12c.  The main goal of the project is to upgrade to WebLogic/Forms/Reports 12c and integrate improvements to design limitations in Authentication, Forms/Reports High Availability and Security.

 

The consultant  will assist Department of Taxation in upgrading from Oracle IAS 10g to Oracle WebLogic/Forms/Reports and integrate improvements to design limitations in Authentication, Forms/Reports High Availability and Security.

Consultant must perform all activities to the agreed upon project plan/schedule.  Work must be completed according to the specifications and standards set by the State.  Consultant must:

  • Assist with current project to upgrade Oracle IAS 10g to WebLogic/Forms/Reports 11g in multiple environments (Development/Test/User Acceptance/Production);
  • Provide research, analysis, design, assistance, documentation and cross training to Taxation staff for WebLogic/Forms/Reports 11g to 12c upgrade; and
  • Work collaboratively with Taxation Internal Teams in a SCRUM/Agile environment.
  • Complete tasks as assigned and agreed to due dates at the time of task assignment;
  • Provide technical artifacts as it relates to the appropriate task;
  • Weekly status reports to include, but not be limited to:
  • Overall completion status of the project in terms of the approved project plan and schedule;
  • Problems that were encountered and proposed/actual resolutions;
  • Issues that need to be addressed;
  • Accomplishments during the period; and
  • Activities to be accomplished during the next reporting period.
  • Upgrade from Oracle IAS 10g to WebLogic/Forms/Reports 11g for Development/Test/UAT/Production;
  • Upgrade from Oracle WebLogic/Forms/Reports 11g to 12c for Development/Test/UAT/Production; 
  • Installation and configuration of Oracle SSO to use Active Directory Authentication for Forms Authentication;
  • Design and configuration of High Availability Features for Forms/Reports;
  • Design and configuration Security Best Practices; 
  • Documentation and cross training of Taxation staff.

Qualifications

  • Nine (9) plus years of experience as an Oracle WebLogic/Forms/Reports Administrator;
  • Five (5) plus years of Oracle WebLogic and Middleware Administration (Forms/Reports);
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in migrating from Oracle IAS 10g to WebLogic/Forms/Reports 11g in a Windows Server Environment; and
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in migrating from WebLogic/Forms/Reports 11g to WebLogic/Forms/Reports 12c in a Windows Server Environment.
  • nstallation, configuration, and tuning of WebLogic/Forms/Reports managed servers.
  • High-availability design, configuration, clustering, load balancing and maintenance of Oracle WebLogic/Forms/Reports.
  • Security Design/Implementation for WebLogic/Forms/Reports.
  • Oracle SSO and Active Directory Integration for Oracle WebLogic/Forms/Reports Authentication.
  • Script writing skills to handle complex WebLogic managed servers’ automation/administration.
  • Oracle WebLogic basic licensing restrictions with forms/reports managed servers.
  • Excellent documentation and excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • OCP certification.
