5-month project for Quality Assurance Analyst for the State of NV in Carson City, NV!

Responsibilities

  • User Acceptance Test (UAT) planning;
  • UAT test case development;
  • UAT test script development;
  • UAT execution, coordination and support; 
  • UAT results documentation;
  • UAT defect tracking documentation;
  • User Acceptance Test (UAT) test plan documentation to include, but not limited to:
  • Test strategy;
  • Functional and system features to be tested;
  • Scope of testing (what is and what is not to be tested);
  • Test risks, dependencies, constraints and assumptions;
  • Test schedule and key milestones;
  • Test data, test scenarios, and expected results;
  • Test entry and exit criteria; and
  • Defect tracking to include resolution methods and severity notation.
  • Weekly status reports to include, but not be limited to:
  • Overall completion status of the project in terms of the approved project plan and schedule;
  • Problems that were encountered and proposed/actual resolutions;
  • Issues that need to be addressed;
  • Accomplishments during the period; and
  • Activities to be accomplished during the next reporting period.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience executing formal, written functional, integration, and system test procedures in compliance with a widely recognized standard such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) or ISO;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in managing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, requirements traceability, defect tracking and defect resolution and procedures in compliance with IEEE standards;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience creating and maintaining test beds as well as release management across test environments;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in testing on a project using automation testing tools such as Test Management, Functional/Regression, Load/Performance/Stress/Memory Leak, Link Checking, GUI testing as well as scripting languages;
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the role of Test Lead leading testing resources.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience on a project where iterative testing was performed, with multiple production deployments;
  • Experience with tracking and reporting quality-related metrics;
  • A solid understanding of project lifecycle including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation; 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and translate technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resource staff;
  • The willingness to be on-call and work overtime if/when required;
  • The ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally in English;
  • The ability to use the internet, vendors, libraries and other available sources to research issues or needs;
  • The ability to resolve problems and implement solutions;
  • A valid driver’s license;
  • The ability to work in stressful conditions with mandatory deadlines; and
  • The ability to complete State required security training which must be completed before system access will be granted.
  • Test experience on a large-scale software development project
  • Test experience on large-scale government or private sector software development project
  • Experience with JIRA and Bamboo testing tools
