Contract-to-hire opportunity for MDM Developer for the State of TN in Nashville, TN!

 

There are two roles on the team, one data scientist and one MDM that will work closely together to work enterprise-wide with all departments at SOTN to create strategy, architecture, and planning for all database activities. These folks will want to have experience in multiple environments (SQL, Oracle, Cobal etc) to have success, as all are a part of the environment at SOTN.

Responsibilities

MDM developer for the Center of Excellence for Data at STS, you will provide expert advice, counsel and technical expertise to ensure successful deployment of best-in-class Master Data Management (MDM) solution.

Duties include:

  • Defines the overall MDM solution architecture and set technical direction, defines component architecture, and reviews detailed designs for accuracy and overall compliance to defined architecture;
  • Develops an understanding of STS’s needs and translates those needs into technological systems, design specifications and solutions.
  • Develop standards, best practices, and reference designs for the implementation of MDM solutions.
  • Partner with other Departments to analyze, design, develop and implement MDM solutions that will optimize business outcomes.
  • Work closely with BA’s and architects to implement best-of-class MDM solutions
  • Provide technical leadership for the development of data models, data mappings, data validation rules, match and merge rules.
  • Design and develop customized MDM services.
  • Design and develop necessary batch interfaces to and from the MDM hub
  • Ensure the design meets the business service level agreements (SLAs) for availability and performance
  • Conducts regression testing of new releases of software components within the MDM repository and new releases of MDM software
  • Design conceptual, logical and physical Data modelling to support Enterprise Master Data Management system and the logical workflow.
  • Demonstrate experience in deterministic and probabilistic matching methodologies.
  • Demonstrate experience and ability to apply data quality techniques such as match, merge, profiling, score carding, data standardization, and parsing using enterprise data quality platforms.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving MDM related issues and provide proven solutions, aligning with master data strategies and best practices.
  • Experience with Citizen Data management, terminology, and Citizen-related terminologies including Master Citizen, and Person index.
  • Possess good experience in providing architecture oversight, as well as in-depth experience in building and managing enterprise application stack for a master data management MDM platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for Master Data Management (MDM) platform, including solution architecture, inbound/outbound data integration (ETL), Data Quality (DQ) and, maintenance/tuning of match rules and expectations.
  • Advise and provide support to data stewards, other system owners, and technical personnel in master data management concepts and technical matters.
  • Collaborate with source systems, data stewards, and technical personnel for data governance and to resolve any data quality or technical issues related to data ingestion.
  • Ability to design, develop and translate business requirements and processes for data matching and merging rules, survivorship criteria, and data stewardship workflows using master data management solutions.
