    Knowledge Services is seeking a Paralegal in Milwaukee WI.

    Responsibilities

    • The preference is for an attorney or paralegal with experience in the area of responding to formal records requests.
    • Review all records requests
    • Coordinate response to requests via records collection in multiple categories
    • Assign tasks related to same, respond to all records requests for personnel, investigatory, and other HR matters in compliance with all applicable records laws and within the designated time-frame.
    • Sign-off on all responses and be responsible for compliance, as well as exercise judgment related to legally required notices to employees, notice to other relevant departments, and when to involve and seek additional guidance.
    • Other duties to be assigned.

    Position will be approx. 25 hrs./week -can be flexible on hours and schedule

    Pay $20-25/hr

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school or Paralegal Degree preferred.
    • May consider final year law students with the specific and practical experience
    • Legal Assistant Experience.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
    • Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Vision requirements:  Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
