    Knowledge Services is seeking a part-time Medical Technologist in Nashville TN.

    Responsibilities

    • This position will work weekends only ( up to 24 hours). Fri-Sun. or Sat.-Mon. Must work a minimum of 2 weekends per month. Start and End times can be flexible. 
    • Ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast pace/high volume lab with a high level learning agility
    • This position will conduct Newborn Screenings and is responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes in a high-volume laboratory. These processes include accessioning specimens, judging the quality and quantity of specimens, proper storage of specimens, preparing samples for analysis, and reagent preparation and storage. 
    • Performing and documenting daily, weekly, monthly, and miscellaneous preventive maintenance, ordering testing supplies, conducting instrument calibration, thermometer calibrations, and timer calibrations are also expected.

    Pay $25- $30/hr

     

    Qualifications

    • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a Science related field 
    • Must be licensed by the State of TN (Medical Technologist)
    • Must have Medical Technologist experience. 

    Physical Requirements:

    • Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
    • Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Vision requirements:  Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
