    Our client is looking for a Behavioral Health Recovery Attendant in Indianapolis, IN. This position is a long term temporary position. This job is very similar to that of a CNA or Home Health Aid but you do not need to be certified. 


    Payrate: $11/hr


    Shift's Available: Primarily evening, night and weekend shifts are needed. First shift positions will be available on very limited basis.
    Shift times are: 6:30am-3pm; 2:30pm-11pm; 10:30pm-7am
    IF A CANDIDATE IS WILLING TO WORK A SET 5 DAY SCHEDULE AND EVERY OTHER WEEKEND the facility will try to put them on one unit OTHERWISE it is no more than 3 days working per week.

    POSITION SUMMARY:  Performs a variety of relatively routine tasks associated with the daily care and welfare of mentally ill patients. Provides for care to patients under the clinical direction of a licensed nurse. Applies age and population specific principles for assigned patients. Acts in emergency situations to physically aid patients and to modify adverse behavior. Assists in accomplishing daily living tasks such as bathing, feeding, dressing, laundry and room care, physically assisting as necessary. Supervised by the Unit Director, ADON, and/or shift supervisor.


    • Clinical Care/Physical Care of Patients
    • Psychosocial Care of Patients
    • Safety and Security/Technical Functions
    • Treatment Planning/Documentation
    • Medication Administration
    • Self-learning and Continuous Staff Development


    It would be a plus if this individual has Hospital experience or exposure working in one. Students actively enrolled in a healthcare related field may substitute education for experience working in a hospital. A CNA license is NOT required.





    • Practical knowledge of routine nursing care procedures such as bathing, bowel and bladder care, feeding, CPR, and first aid techniques
    • Practical knowledge of a variety of training and treatments used with patients
    • Ability to perform a variety of housekeeping duties to ensure the comfort and well being of patients
    • Ability to accurately keep records, reports, and charts of patients
    • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with residents and staff
    • Ability to follow oral and written directions
    • Ability to act in emergency situations requiring the physical management and protection of patients

    Candidates do not need to be CPR certified in order to apply for this position. However, they will be required to get CPR certified before starting the position if an offer is extended.
