    Knowledge Services is looking for a Marketing Associate that wants to join a growing organization and take marketing to the next level! We are seeking individuals who have a strong desire to develop their skills and who aren’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table.  

     

    This role is a newly defined position on our Marketing team, with exceptional room for growth. This person will be given great opportunities to lead marketing initiatives for our in-house product, dotStaff™. We are a complex organization on the brink of launching into new markets and verticals, and this position will be at the forefront of these many exciting company and marketing initiatives.     Responsibilities

    You will work closely with key stakeholders such as:

    • dotStaff™ Product Owners & Managers to ensure product marketing messaging and strategy is working in parallel with development
    • Knowledge Services Program Team Managers and Clients for a better understanding of specific program activities to develop the appropriate content
    • Sales Team members to collaborate on joint-team projects as well as ensuring they are equipped with newly created content.
    • Executive members across all departments during small and large-scale projects and company initiatives.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Understand the needs and personas of government workers and decision makers to effectively create content tailored to that audience in accordance with SEO best practices.
    • Conduct regular content audits of digital properties to identify additional areas of interest for content targeting and creation.
    • Research, write, design thoughtful multi-media content to be published across multiple platforms to build our digital audience across government and its contractors (local, state, federal).
    • Work closely with the Product Owners and Sales team to determine best communications and product marketing strategy for Knowledge Services Technology, dotStaff™.
    • Participate in meetings and subsequent Sprint Reviews as the Product Marketing point-person to provide relevant updates to technology initiatives and releases.
    • Fold the Knowledge Services Technology, dotStaff™, into the Knowledge Services brand and effectively communicate that partnership (via website, social, grassroots, etc. campaigns).
    • Build, manage, analyze, and target campaigns to the gig economy workers and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proper messaging and targeting.
    • Assist in planning and executing the (first) annual Knowledge Services User Conference.
    • Support the Sales and Programs teams with branded print and digital materials.
    • Be an advocate for the Knowledge Services brand (internally and externally)!

     

    Qualifications

     

    Competencies & Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, journalism, business, politics or relevant field.
    • 2-4 years of experience in content and/or product marketing either in an agency or in-house environment. (Internship experience accepted.)
    • Possesses excellent project management skills.
    • Ability to create and manage a piece of content from beginning to end (ideation all the way through tracking and analyzing the published data).
    • Proven ability to prioritize and move multiple projects forward.
    • Must be comfortable conducting client and in-house interviews for content research in a timely fashion.
    • Interest in government and current affairs highly recommended.
    • Experience in and comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite products.
    • Experience with HTML and/or CSS a huge plus.
    • Comfortable using PC or Mac devices.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
    • Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
