    Business Anlayst role in Nashville, TN at State of TN's Dept. of Health.  90-Day contract-to-hire.  Must sit onsite in Nashville and will work 37.5 hours/week.  Not open to C2C.

    The use of  these contractors  will allow the Tennessee Department of Health to continue to roll out the EPI project across the state.The Business Analyst positions will be responsible for working with the business owners to define data conversion and migration requirement using current documentation as a base. Document conversion and migration data requirements and present to business leadership. Define data conversion and migration tasks to successfully migrate patient demographic, clinical and billing information. Analyze migration data to ensure complete information. Facilitate meetings and workgroup sessions. Work with software vendors to migrate data from legacy systems to COTS package.
    The contractor filling this position should have the ability to work in a strong team environment.


    • Skilled with Microsoft office suite.
    • Able to interpret business requirements and translate into technical specifications.
    • Able to document meeting minutes, decisions, risk, issues and generate project artifacts. 
    • Must also have vendor management skills.
    • Must possess a basic understanding of EDI concepts (HL7 is a plus).
    • Healthcare experience is a plus. Standard work week will be 37.5 hours.



    Physical Requirements:

    • Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
    • Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Vision requirements:  Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
