    Our client is looking for a Behavioral Health Recovery Attendant in Indianapolis, IN. This position is a long term temporary position. This job is very similar to that of a CNA or Home Health Aid but you do not need to be certified. 


    Payrate: $11/hr


    Shift's Available: 12.5 hour shift. This person needs to be flexible because they could be put on either Morning's or Nights. 

    Morning: 6:30AM-7PM

    Nights: 6:30PM-7AM

    POSITION SUMMARY: This individual will assist with the daily care of mentally ill patients.  You will learn the best practices when working with mentally ill patients and be able to determine best course of action in the instance of an emergency situation. This may include physically aiding patients to modify adverse behaviors.

    The daily duties of this role will be to assist patients with their daily routines of bathing, feeding, dressing, medication administration, laundry and room care. You will also contribute to treatment planning and learn proper documentation protocols to record events/routines. This position is very similar to a CNA though it does not require a certificate.

    The process and course of care will be determined by the licensed nurse on duty and will be overall supervised by the Unit Director and/or shift supervisor.



    It would be a plus if this individual has exposure to working in a Hospital setting or healthcare related field. A CNA license is NOT required.





    • Knowledge of routine nursing care procedures such as bathing, bowel and bladder care, feeding, CPR, and first aid techniques
    • Knowledge of training and treatment procedures for working with patients
    • Ability to perform a variety of housekeeping duties to ensure the comfort and well being of patients
    • Ability to accurately document and update patients charts
    • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with residents and staff
    • Ability to follow oral and written directions
    • Ability to act in emergency situations requiring the physical management and protection of patients

    Candidates do not need to be CPR certified in order to apply for this position. However, they will be required to get CPR certified before starting the position if an offer is extended.
