    Knowledge Services is seeking a Full Stack .Net Developer for a long-term contract position with the possibility to turn into a direct hire. This position is with our client, the State of TN’s Department of Financial Institutions. The position is located downtown Nashville, TN and works 37.5 hours per week. This person will be able to work from home 2-3 days per week after intial training period.


    • This position is responsible for the successful and timely design, implementation, testing and ongoing maintenance of technical solutions. These efforts involve business analysis, product and account management, interaction, project planning, troubleshooting and hands-on development, working on the backlog of projects and supporting other major initiatives where applicable. 
    • Supports all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance for a complex software system.
    • Use best practices in the above listed technologies. Program/Code Reports using SQL Server and SSRS with the option to export data to Excel or PDF to allow and manage their data more easily.  Optimize the stored procedures as needed and provide feedback on enhancing the current database.
    • Create test plans and scenarios for all system and user acceptance testing as needed. Work as the IT analyst whenever required.
    • Develop solutions/enhancements to upgrade/replace outdated systems with the above-mentioned technologies. Must be eager to learn and use the latest technologies as needed.  Must be able to convince teammates with the valid IT explanation/examples or prototype.



    • Application Developer/Software Engineer with at least 5+ years of demonstrable experience developing, administering and supporting web applications in .Net environment.
    • Must be comfortable developing code in C# using principles of MVC Architecture and Object-Oriented Design.
    • Experience with SQL database programming concepts, including querying in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and indexing.
    • Must be familiar with the SOLID principles of coding, including specifically inheritance and dependency injection
    • Must have developed in .NET Core framework
    • Must be very skilled in AngularJS
    • Strong data skills (MSSQL experience preferred)
    • Experience building and consuming webservices


    Technical experience Required: MS SQL 2012/2014/2016 web application scripting languages and interchanges (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, XML, AngularJS 2 (or similar JS framework), jQuery, ASP.Net and MVC Microsoft Team Foundation System Support and Enhance TDFI functionality within their business applications (Windows and Web) using Visual Studio, C#, TFS and IIS 7.5.  Must be fluent in client-side scripting, application framework and report design (SSRS), design, programming (.Net coding), CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Metro etc.) and systems testing.
