.NET Developer

Knowledge Services is actively seeking a Sr .NET Developer  candidate for a One year + contract role  with the State of Indiana Dept of Health. This position is located in Indianapolis, IN and will require onsite work. 

The Sr .NET will perform the below responsibilities:

• Use Microsoft .NET Framework and a supported MVC framework, VB.Net programming language to development of the applications.
• Senior level full-stack development experience with .Net technologies.
• Responsible for support of the LimsNet application and the LIMS API using ASP.Net and Oracle skills
• Assist internal users with STARLIMS application.
• Provide technical assistance for outbound HL7 messages to CDC, D-REX and PHINMS using the Rhapsody application.
• Acquire a knowledge of lab processes
• Become familiar with laboratory instrument interfaces, and create new interfaces in STARLIMS
• Responsible for configuration of new assays in STARLIMS and creation of scripts to import instrument data files to STARLIMS.
• Solve production technical issues with STARLIMS, and LimsNet reports as needed.
• Create data extracts for insurance billing, institutional billing, and grant requirements.
• Work with program area team on technical issues including system design and testing.
• Analyzing information to recommend and plan the development and implementation of new systems or modifications of an existing system.
• Work with Program team members on detailed business requirements, understanding business processes and technology, agency standards, and ensuring project goal alignment.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Have ability to work independently and under general supervision with opportunity for independent judgment.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

The Sr .NET Developer will have the below qualifications:

• 10+ years of Information Technology working experience.
• 7+ years of working experience with ASP.NET, C#, MVC, and SQL/Oracle DB.
• Experience with LIMS and STARLIMS applications preferred.
• Experience in analysis and addressing security related issues for applications built in multiple languages.
• Current working experience with Web Services.
• Expert understanding of SDLC.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex programming issues.
• Experience in Healthcare Industry is a plus.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields with IT experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands.
• Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Vision requirements:  Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
