.NET / Azure Architect (REMOTE)

Knowledge Services is actively seeking an .Net/Azure Architect for a One year + contract role  with the State of Indiana Dept of Bureau of Motors. This position is located in Indianapolis, IN and is currently remote and will need occasional onsite once Shutdowns are lifted. 

The .NET / Azure Enterprise Architect will be performing the below responsibilitites:

• Responsible for consulting and aligning business & IT stakeholders to build the overall future state Stars / Galaxy architectural strategy 
• Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems, and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the applications 
• Documents and communicates the strategy using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, and adaptable manner 
• Using a holistic approach, conducts enterprise analysis, design, planning, and implementation for the successful development and execution of strategy 

The .NET / Azure Enterprise Architect will have the below qualifications:

• At least 5 years in an architectural or design capacity for 'large scale' enterprise systems; experience contributing to product roadmaps
• Understanding, modeling, and representing the organizations business requirements in a human consumable manner, as it relates to strategy
• Technical certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Expert Architect expert, or AWS desirable
• Expertise (or awareness) of the holistic set of platforms, tools, utilities, and technical constructs that constitute “buy” elements within the future state architecture
• Competence in developing a future state architecture that includes both custom built and purchased platform / tool / utility components
• At least 3 years’ experience with the following technologies
• Azure DevOps
• C#
• VB.Net experience

• We are working on roadmap for the future, but we are exploring microservices and refactoring logic from a large monolithic application to smaller API’s

• Good judgement

Education or certification requirements

• Technical certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Expert Architect expert, or AWS desirable 

Physical Requirements:
