Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our Client in Los Angeles, CA.  This is a long term contract position with many perks, which may include continuing education, travel reimbursement, and a signing bonus!

 

 

Pay Rate:  $55/hr

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Required to provide OT assessments regarding possible consumer equipment needs and developmental status. This may require site assessments which could be home, school, or day programs.
  • Provide OT assessments and consultation for Early Start and regional center consumers.
  • Administer and complete OT and other assessments using the existing and new assessment tools consistent with the Best Practices Standards.
  • Participate as needed in interdisciplinary teams and eligibility meetings.
  • Provide training and consultation to staff and care providers.
  • Establish linkages with generic early childhood development programs.
  • Review requests for infant development programs and OT services.
  • Participate in the Mobility Clinic as requested.
  • Review OT/PT, orthotics and prosthetics assessments and provide recommendations for consumers’ services.
  • Participate in other related activities as requested.
  • Document services provided according to documentation standards.

Qualifications

Occupational Therapist Qualifications:

  • Must have 5 years of OT experience with a focus on the early intervention experience in working with children at risk for having a developmental disability.
  • Must have an MA or MS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • Must be an occupational therapist licensed with the California State Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • Must have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages.
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary clinical teams is desired.
  • Preferred candidates will be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Applicants must also have familiarity with Microsoft Word and other software programs.
