Overview

Knowledge Services is actively seeking an IT project Manager for a Data Modernization Project with our client, the state of TN's Department of Health. This contract will last at least 1 year and is open for extension. Some remote work is possible but local candidates are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly support OIA's Data Modernization work with regards to supporting workforce development, program assessment, program administration and coordination, and associated grant, contract, and resource management.
  • Work closely with other members of OIA including the administrative, core informatics, advanced analytics and visualization, and data governance teams, as well as with various TDH divisions and programs, including with Information Technology staff.
  • Responsible for coordinating the implementation of a OIA Data Modernization workforce development program
    Focused on data science and informatics, including the development of a Data Modernization workforce development plan based on assessment findings and supporting identification of training opportunities, scheduling, and implementation of training events, associated communications, and training evaluation.
  • Support strategic planning administration and associated activities and be directly responsible for supporting the Chief Public Health Officer, the Chief Data Officer, and the Director of Data Governance in coordinating Data Modernization activities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project management working on data modernization projects
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to communication in both technical and non-technical terms
