Grants Manager

Seeking a Grant's Manager - Downtown Indianapolis - Parking provided

$24.04 per hour

Will be responsible for processing, expending, accounting, reporting and auditing funds received  through any grant program.  This position will coordinate with leadership and be responsible for grant projects in the areas of homelessness, tenant protection and eviction prevention, food insecurity and food access, re-entry services, mental health, and community violence reduction.

• Managing financial transactions associated with grant funds 
• Tracking grant funds from open to close of award period 
• Writing grant narratives for newly proposed projects 
• Overseeing appropriate financial practices and monitoring grant expenditures by purchasers 
• Reviewing and analyzing expenses versus grant allocations 
• Auditing budget and expense transfers related to grants 
• Monitoring cash balances for timely submissions and ongoing submissions of grant reports relating to projects to the Department of the Treasury
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with federal regulations, guidelines and policies relating to local and federal guidelines
• Overseeing submission and accuracy of grant audit reports for grant projects 
• Managing project administration components such as contract claims, project budget, and status reports

Prefer Bachelor's degree and 2 years work experience. An equivalent combination of work experience may be substituted.

Analytical, quantitative and communications skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft office and grant software applications required.

Knowledge of budgetary process, accounting principles and procedures, and local government structure preferred
