Knowledge Services is seeking a remote Network Architect for a FULL-TIME/DIRECT HIRE opening in Indianapolis, IN. This role may work 100% remotely.

The Network Architect will research and understand IT trends, security practices, vendors, and products
• To partner with other architecture and IT teams in creating and maintaining short and long-term network solutions and architectures.
• Work primarily with data network protocols and technologies such as Local and Wide Area networks, Internet connectivity, Wireless networks, Network management systems, Network access controls, Firewalls, and content load balancing systems.
• Be familiar with and assist with voice network technologies such as: VOIP, ACD, and Voicemail
• Provide leadership, guidance, training to the team and be a mentor to team members.
• Perform third-level technical support for the Network Services team on data and voice software and hardware solutions.
• Provide troubleshooting and configuration of switches, routers, phones, wiring, load balancing, firewall and other data/voice technologies.
The Network Architect Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in data telecommunications and/or college-level education, with a bachelor’s level degree preferred.
• Experienced with CISCO equipment
• Requires skillset to architect and design new technologies to incorporate within the environment; create and develop 5-year plans with budget considerations to maintain and enhance the network to meet current and future business needs.
• Requires experience in network automation with one or more scripting languages.
• Experience working in an Agile/Kanban environment.
• Must possess or quickly acquire technical and administrative knowledge of data equipment systems of the Companies and develop that ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Requires incumbent to become proactive, reliable, and accountable self-starter with the ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Requires heavy customer contact; Tact, diplomacy, and ability to maintain composure in handling internal and external clients and in everyday job responsibilities.
• Flexibility and adaptability in working with various individuals during emotional and conflicting situations by establishing and maintaining effective relationships and gaining trust and respect.
• Must be skilled in attentive and active listening; patience to hear people out and accurately restating the comments of others.
• Requires good customer service skills along with a logical understanding of routing for problem diagnosis and resolution.
