Knowledge Services is actively seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager for a full time, direct hire opportunity with our client, the State of IN's Public Retirement System. This is a hybrid role that will require onsite work 3 days per week. Candidates should be local to the Indianapolis area.


Oversees IT Projects and their overall design, implementation, coordination, direction, execution control, and completion; ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.  Incumbent manages, plans, organizes, and controls all operations and activities of medium to extra-large size projects, or phases of a larger project.  The Senior IT Project Manager may also be responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and supporting operational duties outside of a specific project.  Incumbent receives supervision and guidance of IT Portfolio Manager and Director levels.  These projects may have large  teams and require the use of vendors.  Guidelines are complex in nature and will require sound judgment in making adaptations to fit the conditions of the work.  Work is broad in scope and requires consideration of conflicting variables. Incumbent works under immediate supervision of higher-level staff and receives general instructions for work in support of INPRS requirements.  Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, accuracy, and compliance with division and INPRS policy.    


  • Responsible for projects in their entirety 
  • Coordinate and communicate with every individual involved in the projects
  • Identify risks and problems and create solutions
  • Prepare preventative measures for issues 
  • Lead, manage, and support project staff
  • Manage project budget
  • Manage project resource allocation
  • Track project deliverables
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions 
  • Prepare project evaluations and assessment of results
  • Ability to run projects in an agile or waterfall methodology


  • Bachelor's Degree 
  • 10+ years of experience in a project management capacity
  • PMP certification
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred 
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent IT background
  • Detailed understanding of various SDLC methodologies
  • Demonstrated success in completing several projects from beginning to end
  • Strong oral and written communication skills needed in working with employers, members and agency staff.
  • Excellent organization skills needed in conjunction with organizing workflow, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
