Knowledge Services is hiring a part-time Payroll Coordinator for a contract opportunity with one of our busy medical practices in Indianapolis, IN. We are seeking a dedicated and capable Payroll Coordinator to process timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll and benefits with appropriate partners.

Part-Time Payroll Coordinator will work 20 hrs. / week with a flexible schedule. If more hours are desired, the client is open to expanding to full time.

  • Enter and process biweekly company payroll for all employees
  • Approve and enter all pay changes to payroll HRIS
  • Create and process biweekly / annual taxable fringe benefit files
  • Update all deductions and deferrals in payroll as needed
  • Track employee referral bonuses
  • Conduct annual benefit enrollment and Manage enrollment via vendor websites 
  • Support employees Q&A regarding any company benefits or compensation
  • Liaison for staff claims or benefit problems with vendors
  • Mileage and expense reimbursement processing
  • Setup and maintenance of time and attendance system
  • Analytical reporting as requested from management


  • Working knowledge of payroll software (ADP preferred)
  • Experience working with complex payrolls preferred
  • Developed math aptitude and detail orientation needed
  • Basic understanding of payroll taxes and governmental payroll regulations
  • Broad knowledge and practical application of Microsoft Office products
  • Demonstrated person-to-person skills
  • Ability to cooperate with all levels of personnel.
  • An individual with a highly developed work ethic, integrity, and team player mentality
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision and under deadlines
