Knowledge Services is seeking an Information Security Analyst/IT Governance Specialist. Role can either be direct hire or contract to hire.
Hybrid work schedule between plant locations in Houston and working from home, along with about 30-40% domestic and international travel to Europe.
The Information Security Analyst/IT Governance Specialist will improve the IT Disaster Recovery Planning, Documentation, and Testing program.
• In collaboration with manufacturing plant engineers this position documents: manufacturing control systems, hardware maintenance and replacement policies, and critical hardware failure points.
• Performs antivirus updates, IT security audits, and network penetration tests.
• Authors and implements disaster recovery plans. Ensures best practices for all IT systems.
• Catalog and diagram IT components on control systems.
• Develop and maintain proactive hardware maintenance & replacement policies.
• Identify critical hardware failure points and propose redundancy/replacement opportunities.
• Ensure critical operating system, hardware, and software patches are applied.
• Deploy and support relevant antivirus tools.
• Perform periodic security audits, network penetration testing, etc.
• Develop, execute, maintain, and monitor disaster recovery/backup plans.
• Ensure IT best practices are in place for IT equipment/users within the control system network.
• Support physical security monitoring and access equipment. (Cameras, badge readers).
Information Security Analyst/IT Governance Specialist Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience within IT Security, IT governance, IT disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Technical writing and documentation experience
• Disaster recovery and business continuity experience
• IT controls experience
• Experience working in disconnected environments/networks
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices
• Experience with manufacturing DCS systems a plus
• Diplomatic communication skills, able to communicate across multiple levels of the organization. (Executives, Plant Managers, Control Engineers, Hourly Operators, IT staff)
• Successful examples in leading change management initiatives
• Experience involving diagnosing and resolving complex IT problems within an organization/enterprise.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot technology related issues.
• Good organizational, time management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
• Security certifications are a plus (CISM, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISA, etc.)
• General IT related certifications are a plus (CompTIA A+, MTA, MCSE, etc.)
