Library Cataloger (10+ Month Contract)

Knowledge Services is currently hiring a Library Cataloger to work on a 10+ month contract with Indianapolis Public Schools. This position will require travel to various Indianapolis Public Schools. The library cataloger is responsible for monitoring the quality of the books and update the cataloging database systems. 

Monday - Friday 

Hours vary depending on location (7:30am - 3:00 pm or 8:30 am - 4:00 pm)

10+ Month Contract Role 

$19/hour

• Conduct quality assurance checks on the condition of books and dodumenting inventory 
• Relabel and rebrand library books to Indianapolis Public Library branding
• Update Indianapolis Public Library database system to include books in each library
• Follow instructions and provide assistance to Indianapolis Public School employees
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to alphabetize required
• Must understand and be able to organize books by decimal number 
• Knowledge of traditional and new library systems and techniques
• Ability to stand, stoop, and sit for long periods of time. 
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Ability to travel to various work sites and have reliable transportation
• Associates degree highly preferred
