Knowledge Services is currently hiring a Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting Team to work in our Corporate HQ in Fishers, IN!  This role will have a hybrid work schedule after an initial training period.

 The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner for our contract employees working at our client locations in various states across the US.

The Payroll Specialist Responsibilities include:

  • Submission of weekly and biweekly payrolls with accurate processing of any and all deductions and earnings for employees
  • Maintain accurate records of and compliant procedures with wage garnishments and withholding orders, including set up of 3rd party payee, payment set up with remittance and scheduled deductions
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate submitted reports
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the Human Resources team, department managers, and other accounting team members
  • Complete other general payroll and accounting duties as assigned


The Payroll Specialist

  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment (5+ years preferred)
  • Proven ability to work with various pay types and pay cycles
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications 
  • Outstanding communication skills, self-starter and strong work ethic required
  • Experience with Paychex Flex a plus
