Knowledge Services is actively seeking a Vice President for Academic Systems and Completion Strategy for a full-time/direct hire role with our client in Indianapolis.  This is a hybrid work schedule working about 80% onsite in downtown Indianapolis and ability to travel within the State of Indiana 3-4 times per month.

Responsibilities

Vice President for Academic Systems and Completion Strategy Responsibilities and Duties:

• Leads the development and implementation of a cohesive statewide vision and strategy for credential completion, aligned with the college’s goals and the goals of each campus.
• Drives initiatives to enhance the college’s student records enterprise, ensuring seamless integration with college priorities, strategic plan goals/objectives, and completion-focused metrics.
• Provides comprehensive communication and support for the college's processes and systems related to student records and academic information systems, including curriculum management, degree tracker software, and transfer evaluation system.
• Establishes clear communication channels to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged in initiatives related to student records management.
• Engages stakeholders across departments to gather input and ensure strategies meet the diverse needs of the college community (e.g., faculty critical reporting deadlines, productive credit reporting, on-time degree completion, reverse transfer, FERPA regulations).
• Partners with the Office of Information Technology to lead strategy for implementing, achieving success, and sustaining student information systems (Banner and the college’s transition to Workday Student). Provides leadership and guidance for the Provost Office Workday Student Centers for Agility to ensure an effective rollout and adoption of a new student information system.
• Supports the development and execution of comprehensive change management plans tailored for campus and college teams to facilitate the successful adoption of new systems and processes.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and guidance to the student records teams, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with college goals in this area.
• Collaborates with the college’s Workforce and Careers team on statewide initiatives such as credential wallet (Learner Employment Records), Micro-credentials, the Skills Training Catalog, and Credit for Prior Learning.
• In partnership with Academic Affairs, collaborates with four-year colleges and universities to develop articulation agreements that result in seamless matriculation for students seeking a baccalaureate degree.
• Build relationships and trusted partnerships with key stakeholders, including the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, the Indiana General Assembly, other Indiana higher education institutions, and national partners in higher education, transfer initiatives, and workforce training development.
• Works closely with Systems Office leadership, particularly other Provost Office vice presidents, the Office of Information Technology, and the Workforce and Careers team to develop strategic initiatives and processes.
• Ensures the quality of student services aligns with the evolving needs of students, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

The Vice President for Academic Systems and Completion Strategy Requirements:

• A master’s degree in education or related field is required.

• Demonstrated experience in higher education leadership and a track record of success in educational innovation and improvement. Experience at the campus level and within a system is preferred.
• At least five years of senior-level administrative experience.

• Experienced in student records

• Possess at least 5 years of experience managing direct reports
• Must be results-oriented and possess strong collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds of our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
• Experience with post-secondary information systems is preferred.
• Experience managing multiple projects and leading others to success is required.
• Strong collaborative leadership style and a strategic and creative approach to issues.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
