Senior Application Systems Analyst (hybrid)

Knowledge Services is seeking a Senior Application Systems Analyst for a contract to hire opening with the State of Indiana Department of Revenue.

Senior Application Systems Analyst Responsibilities:

• Supports the core technical application configuration for our ITIL Alemba application and its infrastructure.

• This is a critical support function that plays a key role in ensuring functionality for reporting outages, and service requests for many business units that support the timely processing of all incoming tax returns, payments and correspondence for the Department of Revenue.

• Working closely with ITD Alemba configuration management team and other stakeholders for on-boarding new business processes, change requests and enhancements with in Alemba.

• Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of system applications.

• Participates in technical research and configuration management to enable continuing innovation within the system application.

• All system related duties and responsibilities will apply which includes configuration, testing, debugging and documentation of system software upgrades and new releases.

• Additional responsibilities may include some programming, design, coding, sophisticated file maintenance routines.

• Assist as a consultant with technical issues in the phases of our standard Project Management Methodology.

• These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & configuration management within the project life cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.

Senior Application Systems Analyst Qualifications:

• Applicants must possess at least an Associates degree

• Applicants must have hands on experience with application support for Alemba

• Position requires experience working in a fast-paced support function that is multi-faceted and requires constant attention and work prioritization input.

• Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with departments across the organization and clearly defines risks and opportunities based on proposed business changes.

• Experience in vendor management, acting as a business representative to vendors with a strong ability to communicate impact of issues to drive proper resolution turnaround and prioritization with the vendor.
