Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking a remote System Administrator for a long-term contract through the end of Dec 2025 (potential for extension) in support of the State of North Dakota.  Position may work 100% remotely.

  • Pay rate between $23-26/hr
  • Work schedule is Mon - Fri from 8am to 5pm CST

Responsibilities

System Administrator Responsibilities:

• Take part in Teams Video conference meetings.
• Prioritize work based on SLA agreements.
• Configure and support Active Directory Users and Groups- creating users, groups, organizational units, and computer objects.
• Ability clearly document work performed within our Service Now ticketing platform.
• Follow procedures and documentation for fulfilling requests.
• Effectively interpret and communicate highly technical information to non-technical and technical users.

• Troubleshoot Telecom call center issues.
• Conduct Network and VPN related troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot and support Palo Alto, Juniper, and Extreme switching.
• Write and execute PowerShell Scripting.

Qualifications

System Administrator Required Skills:

• Must possess at least an Associate's degree

Strong Customer Service Skills.
• Proficient in writing and speaking the English language and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work in a Microsoft Teams environment and take part in Teams Video conference meetings.
• Understanding prioritizing work based on SLA agreements.
• General understanding on Active Directory Users and Groups- creating users, groups, organizational units, and computer objects.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and be accountable.
• Ability clearly document work performed within our Service Now ticketing platform.
• Follow procedures and documentation for fulfilling requests.
• Effectively interpret and communicate highly technical information to non-technical and technical users.

 

Nice to have Skills:
• Professional certifications in hardware, operating systems
• Ability to troubleshoot Telecom call center issues.
• Provide Network and VPN related troubleshooting.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Juniper, and Extreme switching.
• Experience with using PowerShell Scripting.
