Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking a remote QA Analyst for a 3+ year project in support of the State of North Dakota.  Position may work 100% remotely.

  • Role is open to remote applicants however applicants MUST HAVE prior experience within State government AND with unemployment insurance system projects.

Responsibilities

QA Analyst Responsibilities:

• The QA Analyst will work as a skilled Unemployment Insurance Benefits QA Specialist with data migration experience to support the quality assurance efforts for our Unemployment Insurance Modernization (UI Mod) Project.

• This multi-year project aims to enhance the state’s unemployment insurance system.

• The successful candidate will collaborate with the QA Manager to ensure the highest standards of quality assurance are met throughout the project lifecycle.

• Data Migration
• Design and develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and scripts that are repeatable and adhere to established standards.
• Create and maintain QA artifacts to support testing activities.
• Execute various levels of testing, including functional, integration, acceptance, and regression testing.
• Document software defects and validate their resolution.
• Participate in product design reviews, providing input on functional requirements, schedules, issues, and risks.
• Evaluate and select QA testing tools and methodologies that best fit the project needs.
• Address QA testing-related issues within the project.
• Adhere to specific QA testing standards and guidelines.
• Assist in the development of QA testing plans and cases.
• Create, execute, and maintain test data and test scripts.
• Review test scripts for completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications

QA Analyst Required Skills:

• Must possess at least 3+ years of experience managing quality assurance for information technology projects of at least $3 million in budget. 

• Proven experience in data migration QA processes.
• Background in conducting quality assurance for unemployment insurance system projects.
• Experience managing QA for large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders (budget of $10 million or more).
• Proficiency in Agile or hybrid Agile methodologies.
• Comprehensive understanding of the entire lifecycle process of quality management.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and document processes clearly and effectively.
• Enjoys working with people in a collaborative environment.
