Overview

Knowledge Services is hiring for a Bankruptcy Customer Support role.  This is a contract-to-hire role. This person will be required to work on-site in our client's office located on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

  • $18 per hour, Monday-Friday
  • Anticipated start date is January 6, 2025
  • This role requires strong attention to detail, effective customer service skills, and the ability to work extensively with computer systems. State tax law knowledge is not required. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and analyzes bankruptcy filings, notices, dismissals and discharges to ensure compliance with the Bankruptcy court regarding filings, notices, claims, payments
  • Provides customer service and assistance to taxpayers by advising, instructing, and furnishing information with respect to taxes collected by the Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR)
  • Interprets and applies State and Federal tax laws, rules, regulations and other legal resources in identifying and resolving technical tax problems
  • Perform in-house desk examinations for both tax liability/refund analyses

 

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing 
  • Must have experience with MS Office
