Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking an Operations Quality Analyst for a 10-month contract (potential for extension) with the State of Indiana in Indianapolis working onsite in downtown Indianapolis.

  • Pay rate is between $25-30/hr
  • Work schedule is onsite, Mon - Fri from 7:30am - 3:30pm ET

 

Responsibilities

Operations Quality Analyst Responsibilities:

• Part of the Operations Quality Assurance team that is responsible for monitoring the processes, procedures, and controls of a group system of state retirement plans ensuring performance and quality of work is maintained while conforming to the State and Federal retirement laws.

• Perform quality control audits on member accounts to verify service adjusted internally is accurate and test accuracy of service incremented by system.
• Perform quality control audits in accordance with the established systematic audit criteria and sampling plan to ensure accuracy of data inputs on both initial-retirement, post-retirement, survivor, and death accounts and compliance with state retirement plan provisions.
• Perform quality control reviews of manual payment entries to verify accuracy.
• Review other processes such as account balance adjustments, social security number changes, account merges, and manually created calculations.
• Provide support in the analysis of various internal and external reports.
• Reconcile complex discrepancies between accounts.
• Assist with special quality assurance/control projects when assigned.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Operations Quality Analyst Requirements:

• At least 1 year of data processing or relevant experience preferred; not required
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or business-related field preferred

• Accredited Training

• Basic knowledge of federal and state tax laws, policies, and procedures as they pertain to the agency
• General knowledge of organization, functions, goals and purposes of department and agency
• Customer focus mindset
• Basic problem solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Ability to attain and maintain high production levels efficiently and accurately
• Good organizational and time management skills and ability to produce accurate, quality work
• Ability to interpret work papers from various internal and external reports
• Ability to develop and maintain good work relationships and be an effective team member
• Pursue continuous improvement in various aspects of responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure of formal schedules and deadlines
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and reconcile discrepancies between accounts
• Basic skill level on Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• General understanding of internal controls
• Ability to multi-task and able to readily shift priorities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
