Knowledge Services is seeking a Desktop Support/Client Technologies Specialist for a contract through the end of June 2025 (likely for extension) with the State of Maine Office of Technology.
Desktop Support/Client Technologies Specialist Responsibilities:
• Equipment set up (Laptops, docking stations, monitors, etc.).
• Maintain inventory log.
• Proactively assist end users with simple desktop support.
• Ensure that all work is documented for future reference.
• Follow quality standards.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
• Provide accurate and complete answers to general use and environment questions in a timely manner.
• Provide desktop computer support.
• Attend and participate in bi-weekly team and problem review meetings.
• Manage the retirement and disposal of obsolete computer equipment.
Desktop Support/Client Technologies Specialist Required Skills:
• 1+ years of IT experience in Desktop Support, Help Desk Support, and Customer Support
• Must have experience with Inventory Control
• Must have strong communication skills (both written and spoken)
