Knowledge Services is currently seeking a Training Facilitator for a 12-month contract (potential for extension) with the State of Indiana Department of Revenue on the West side of Indianapolis.
Work Location: Fully on-site in Indianapolis, IN (West Side).
Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Training Facilitator essential functions include:
• Facilitate training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles and preferences
• Conduct orientation and introductory training for all new staff
• Assist with the planning, coordination, development, performance, and evaluation of the training programs for a state agency, including researching, designing, developing, and executing strategies to achieve agency purpose, goals, and objectives
• Manage up-to-date, engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, job aids, and hands-on activities
• Coordinate training schedules, venues, and logistics, ensuring smooth execution of training events
• Test, measure, and evaluate trainee performance and make recommendations on retention or working status
• Maintain training records and prepare reports on training activities, attendance, and outcomes
• Assist with evaluating proposed and existing staff training content and delivery strategies to ensure current policies, procedures, standards, and best practices are incorporated
• Prepare and distribute surveys and questionnaires used as data reference for training needs assessments
Training Facilitator Qualifications include:
• Extensive communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Knowledge of adult learning and educational theories, methods, principles, practices, techniques, and assessment tools
• Ability to quickly learn subject matter laws, rules, and regulations
• Experience with Microsoft products such as PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Ability to conduct research and remain abreast of new developments in training
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to abide by the Department’s Standards of Conduct
• Ability to assess training needs, gather feedback, and make data-driving decisions for continuous improvement
