Overview

If you are looking for a long-term position on the North-side of Indianapolis with a stable company, this role may be for you!  We currently have a need for a Prior Authorization Representative paying $14-$16 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound telephone and written inquiries regarding prior authorization by screening and reviewing requests based on benefit plan design, client specifics and non-clinical criteria in  accordance with approved policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is received for all non-clinical prior authorizations.
  • Meet turn-around times and other quality measures on a routine basis.
  • Work collaboratively with other associates and supervisor to ensure that best practices are shared. 
     

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years’ experience in health and care-related customer service relevant field.
  • Strong background in prior authorizations; Medical Assistance; ICD Coding; claims/benefits.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with members and providers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
