Our client is looking for a LPN for the Evening shift in Richmond, IN.

 

Shift Hours: Evening: 2:30PM-10:45PM

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:  

Exists to enhance each client’s progress through his/her specific program. Responsible for coordination & delivery of physical/psychosocial care of all clients that are assigned, while providing a safe, secure, therapeutic environment.  Completes these responsibilities as they relate to the hospital mission/vision.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adheres to the ANA standards for psychiatric nurses.
  • Acts in emergency situations using rehabilitation/recovery model to prevent the use of restraint.
  • Participates as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Completes documentation requirements.
  • Administers medications according to policy/procedure.
  • Completes AIMS testing & EKG’s as assigned & PRN.
  • Ensures all policies/procedures are followed providing an acceptable standard of nursing practice.
  • Acts as a therapeutic role model.
  • Ensures confidentiality regarding clients medical information.
  • Collaborates with other team members to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Maintains license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Indiana.
  • Demonstrates basic computer skills.
  • Certified in professional CPR.
  • Maintains competency in Bridge Building
  • Maintains competency in required medical procedures & equipment.
  • Completes all mandatory training/inservices.
  • Above-average interpersonal & communication skills (written & verbal).
