This is a wonderful temp-to-hire opportunity for a Patient Service Coordinator/Triage Representative for Medical Front Desk on the South side of Indianapolis, In.

 

Our client requires someone who will cheerfully greets patients/visitors and direct them to the appropriate office staff member or department.  This individual will make the caller feel at ease by being informative and appreciative of their call.  The Patient Service Coordinator receives direct supervision from the Patient Service Coordinator Team Leader.

 

Shifts: 8AM - 5PM

Payrate: $12/hr

Responsibilities

The candidate will need to be able to answer a high volume of patient phone calls and be able to triage those calls to get them to the correct department or person.  They will also need to be able to schedule patient appointments for multiple physicians.  Once an appointment is made, it is their responsibility to make sure that the patient packets get mailed out so the patient will have their appointment reminder along with the patient paperwork. 

 

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Responsible for forwarding/removing calls to/from the answering service on a daily basis, retrieving and distributing any messages from the answering service voice mail.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and forwards to appropriate staff member or department.  Offering voicemail when called party is not available.
  • Accurately schedules appointments by obtaining important demographic and insurance information required by the practice. After the appointment has been made, repeating the appointment time to the caller and mailing patient information packets to the patient’s home.
  • Responsible for scheduling any necessary testing required by the physicians.
  • Provides direction to office, hospitals and various other medical facilities.
  • Responsible for performing weekly maintenance backup on telephone system.
  • Accurately prepares office batches by organizing charge tickets and collected payments for appropriate processing.
  • Attends departmental and staff meetings as necessary.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by the Patient Service Coordinator Team Leader or Group Administrator as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Medical Front Office experience, a solid work history and a great attitude!
